Freelancers don't get overtime — why use this?
Right: no FLSA OT on 1099 or B2B contract work. The value here is tracking, not OT law: hours per client, effective rate, and clean records to back invoices. Set the OT threshold to 999 to turn OT math off.
What's a good default rate?
The $65/hr preset is a placeholder — replace it. Your effective rate after unbilled admin time is the number to watch: total invoices ÷ total worked hours (the billable calculator computes it live).
